Rebirth: Bored Of Rebirth

Sri Kalki Peedum Society / ஸ்ரீ கல்கி பீடும் சங்கம்

Holding my Guru's feet tightly for the past fifteen years, with my heart filled with great devotion and faith, I am still drifting in the ocean of Maya. The divine blessings of my Guru are forming the waves to push me towards the shore of eternity. I wish to share my experiences and knowledge gained through various ways. This can help or guide others who are still drifting far away from the shore.

The formless form of God is everywhere like air, yet not seen by the naked eye named Parabrahmam. Great people like saints described Him as a vision of an enormous glowing light. He is the supreme soul and as such all souls are part of Him. Like the sparks shooting out of the fire, all the misguided souls enter a body till they realize that it is part of the supreme.

Before achieving such a stage, the soul is dragged to various births and bodies. A person who commits a crime goes to prison as a punishment. There, he is given physical and mental stress in order to repent. Similarly, our body becomes the prison for the soul; Maya or illusion created by God gives physical and mental stress to the body till the mind learns the truth of life.

Yes, Maya described like the dust covering a mirror or like the thick smoke covering a fire, captivates the mind and enslaves us. No one wins over Maya but Maya relieves its tight grip when your faith in God increases and your heart yearns for the love of God. This is necessary for the soul to confirm its decision in going back to where it actually belongs.

However, before attaining perfection, our body does Karma. All our actions in our daily life whether good or bad is called Karma. Desires form the roots of Karma that drags the thoughts of the mind and heart aimlessly on its path far away for eternity. Being controlled by Maya and blinded by desires, the astral body experiences the outcome of its actions after death.

The good and bad Karma decides the next body. If a person is born as a human being, then the deeds on the past life will decide whether his body is going to be normal or abnormal. His family members, life partner, children will be part of it too. The sense of divinity that follows into the next birth will be improved from the past. Every soul will reach God one day but how soon depends on the individual. The blessings of the holy people they meet during their lifetime will hasten the spiritual efforts for salvation.
