'My experience' - Mekala
In 1991, my husband Mr.Kesavan invited our Guru to bless our house. While our guru was having dinner, I asked him if I could see 'Mother' in person. Our guru jokingly told that since I am here, soon you might see her. At that time I was expecting my 3rd child, I felt blessed and happy on hearing it. After few weeks, I gave birth to my 3rd child, a girl.
A few days passed my husband went back to work after his leave. Soon after he left for his night duty. I went to sleep in my room while other the children were sleeping in their room. It was past mid night; my baby started to cry for milk. I got up slowly and went to the kitchen to prepare milk. While preparing the milk I sensed that someone was watching me from behind but I dare not turn back. I quickly walk out of the kitchen with the milk bottle. When I stepped out of the kitchen I saw ‘Mother Periyachi’ standing at the entrance of our prayer room which was just beside the kitchen.
I became very frightened and started screaming. I ran into my bedroom and along the way dropped the milk bottle. I hid myself under the blanket and slowly dozed off unknowingly forgetting about the baby. The next morning my husband returned back from work. He woke me up and asked me why I was still sleeping. I then related what happened. He went and searched for the milk bottle and found it under the table in the dinning hall. We then checked and found our child still sleeping and her stomach was still full. We then sensed that ‘divine mother’ herself had fed the child. At that spur of the moment, I could only remember her fierce face, big rounded eyes that looked like marble and dark outlook.
I became sick and lost my voice for a week due to the screaming. After sometime, when we visited our Guru, he named my child as Vijayanandini, a name of a fearless lady warrior. When my daughter grew up, she naturally began to adore ‘mother Periyachi’. Due to our faith and devotion in our Guru Sri Kalki Jothi and ‘Mother’, I am blessed to see ‘her’ in person quite frequently and my Guru’s divine forms in my dreams. I consider myself as gifted to have a marvelous Guru who had showed me the righteous path.
